Our Destigmatization Efforts

At Contigo Wellness, our destigmatization efforts are driven by the belief that everyone deserves access to mental health resources and support, regardless of their background or circumstances. Our monthly campaigns provide specific education on mental health within these marginalized groups.

Why Destigmatization Matters:

Stigma surrounding mental health issues often prevents individuals from seeking the help they need. It can lead to discrimination, isolation, and a lack of understanding from friends, family, and society at large. By working to destigmatize mental health, we aim to create a more inclusive and supportive environment where everyone feels comfortable seeking help and support when they need it.

Our Approach:

At Contigo Wellness we take a multifaceted approach to destigmatization. Through education, advocacy, and community outreach, we strive to change perceptions and attitudes surrounding mental health. Here’s how we do it:

  • Education: We provide educational resources and workshops to raise awareness about mental health issues and combat misinformation. By promoting accurate information and fostering understanding, we can reduce fear and misunderstanding.
  • Advocacy: We advocate for policies and initiatives that prioritize mental health equity and address systemic barriers to care. By working with policymakers and community leaders, we can create change at the local, state, and national levels.
  • Community Outreach: We engage with communities to promote open dialogue and support networks. Through events, support groups, local and national campaigns and partnerships with local organizations, we create spaces where individuals feel safe to share their experiences and seek support without judgment.
