Ceremony Contigo Wellness

Anti-Racism & Decolonial Committment

Our Committment to Community

Contigo Wellness exists to expand access to culturally rooted, trauma-informed, and spiritually grounded healing. We recognize that Western systems of health, psychology, and spirituality have historically pathologized, erased, or appropriated Indigenous, Black, and marginalized communities.

We refuse to replicate that harm.

To be part of the Contigo Wellness Directory, practitioners commit to anti-racist practice and an ongoing decolonial orientation in their work.

What This Means in Practice

Practitioners listed with Contigo Wellness agree to:

  • Actively examine and disrupt racism, coloniality, and supremacist frameworks within their practice.

  • Avoid cultural appropriation and honor the lineages from which their work emerges.

  • Practice trauma-informed, dignity-centered care.

  • Engage in ongoing learning, reflection, and accountability.

  • Center consent, relationality, and community care in their offerings.

  • Reject pathologizing narratives that dehumanize individuals or communities.

Decoloniality is not a label. It is a practice of unlearning harm and cultivating right relationship — with land, lineage, body, and community.

Reciprocity & Responsibility

Visibility within this directory is relational. It is a shared space built on trust. Practitioners who cause harm, refuse accountability, or violate this commitment may be removed from the directory.

We believe healing equity requires both access and integrity.

Community Accountability Agreement

Shared Agreements:

Contigo Wellness is a values-aligned directory. Practitioners who join agree to:

    • Practice in ways that actively resist racism and colonial harm.

    • Be transparent about their training, credentials, and lineage where applicable.

    • Avoid misrepresentation of cultural or spiritual traditions.

    • Respond to concerns with openness and accountability.

If Concerns Arise:

If a community member raises a concern:

  1. Concerns may be submitted confidentially through a designated form or contact email.

  2. The practitioner will be informed and given space to respond.

  3. Contigo may request clarification, education, or corrective action where appropriate.

  4. In cases of repeated harm or refusal of accountability, removal from the directory may occur.

This process is not punitive — it is protective. Our aim is to maintain safety, dignity, and relational trust.
